Question: Is there a snack you would suggest I eat before I workout?

 

Answer: According to the American Dietetic Association, about one hour before a practice or workout, have a carbohydrate-rich snack. Carbohydrates are our bodies preferred source of energy. Some examples of good snacks include:

·         A granola bar

·         ½ bagel

·         Large banana

·         Energy bar

·         4-5 graham crackers

 

Also, remember to drink fluids before you workout. Finish your snack with at least 1 ½ cups (12 ounces) of water or a sports drink.
