Meijer MealBox Tips

Meijer MealBox was designed for you.  We are hoping through our on-going tip’s we can make all of its wonderful functions known to all.  If you have questions, comments or concerns please don’t hesitate to share.  We’d be happy to try to answer any questions you may have.  Feel free to post your comments at any time.

Our first tip: how to stretch your family budget further by using Meijer MealBox.   You may have noticed that within our widget we offer many recipes.  The category of recipes we will be discussing is the Top 25 Budget Meals and can be found under Meal Type.   This recipe group is a collection of recipes where many of the ingredients are currently on sale within our One Stop.    By preparing your weekly meal plan with recipes chosen from this group, the money you will save will be extraordinary.   Here’s how….

1.        “Click” Top 25 Budget Meals, you will then be prompted to enter your zip code.  By entering your zip code the widget is able to gather all the Meijer Stores nearest to you.  Next, select your preferred shopping location.  It may take a few moments while the recipes are gathered.  MealBox is gathering information from the local store, the current one stop, and the recipe and coupon data base.

2.       The Top 25 Budget Meals are recipes that feature multiple ingredients on sale within your local store.  All on sale ingredients will be shown in red.  Browse through the recipes and pick out your favorites.

3.       Simply drag the recipe photo down to the calendar, choose the day of the week you wish to prepare the meal, as well as the meal type, ex: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and your recipe has been assigned within your meal plan.   You can add as many as you like.

4.       Once completed with your recipe selections go up to your shopping list tab.  “Click” add recipes from your planner.  Check the date range listed, and then add recipes.

5.       Next you will want to proof the shopping list prior to printing.  If there are ingredients you already have in your pantry, you may delete them by “clicking” the minus symbol to the right of the ingredient.  Once your list is ready select the print option.  A screen will appear asking what you wish to include on your shopping list, “click” shopping list, coupons, and recipes.  Then print.  You will first be given a preview of the material about to be printed.  If everything looks good and all of your recipes have been included from your meal plan go ahead and print your list.

Allow Meijer MealBox to do the impossible, prepare your family’s meal plan, offer fantastic prices, and provide you with the step by step recipes to make every dinner and occasion.  Now it’s your turn.   Try our Budget Meals and give us your feedback.  We can’t wait to hear from you.

Warmly,

Kristie

Meijer MealBox.

Why can't I get to the coupons & recipes any longer? Whatever I click on either takes me back to the same page or shows an error page.

Love, love, love the mealbox! As a mother of 3 AND a someone who designs user interfaces for the web, I have to tell you, I am incredibly impressed. Thank you for the thoughtful design! My only suggestion would be to make it a bit bigger. But I'll use it at any size. Thanks!

Cannot get the mealbox coupons to come up today. Website keeps bringing me back to the initial page, rather than going to the coupons.

Not only are the coupons great- but did you realize you can combine them with a manufacturer coupon as well? So- watch for the item to be on sale, look for a manfacturer coupon and a coupon on the meijer mealbox- it's a steal! I love Meijer- it's the BEST store-not only are the prices better than any other market- I have the ultimate respect for the owners- what they do for the community and the fact that they are LOCAL! I will not shop anywhere else.

Love the Mealbox coupons. I especially LOVE the fact that I can use a manufacturer coupon as well as a Meijer Meal box coupon. Who doesn't love getting two jars of spaghetti sauce for $1.03?

I wish your store on Pierson Rd. would move their storage racks for shopping carts closer to the middle of the parking lot. I shouldn't have to walk half the lot to put my cart in the rack. Could this be why so many carts are left in parking spots or are shoppers just too lazy to put then where they belong?

I can't find the coupons, there's no link that says "coupons" for me to click on. How do I get to them?

For those of you who say you can't get the coupons or recipes because, after you click on them, it just takes you back to the main page - look in the bar at the bottom of your screen. Sometimes, my coupon or recipe will be minimized there instead of showing up on the screen. Click to maximize it, then you can print.

i love the coupons and i dont have trouble getting them, but i would like to know why they NEVER scan at the checkout....you always have to have a clerk input them under their user id after they scan their id tag....why cant they scan at checkout for the person buying the merchandise?

I also wish you would bring back the 3 to 4 pages of meal box coupons. I love using this site. Meijer is my most favorite store to shop at. I miss the coupons for products other than just food on meal box. On the other hand they are great and I am very thankful for the meal box coupons. Now if Meijer would only start doubling coupons to $1 again.
